A new iPod console can be included as an extra on Audi’s A4 Cabriolet, S4 Cabriolet and RS 4 Cabriolet.

The new unit costs £175 and is located in the glove box. It links MP3 players to the various Audi audio systems, allowing playback through the speakers, controlled via the Audi header unit or the steering wheel-mounted switches (where fitted), and battery charging.

The A4 Cabriolet is the first Audi model to offer this option, which will also be available for A4 Saloon and Avant, A3 and A3 Sportback and new TT Coupé models in the near future.

Audi has also added three new interior options.

A4 Cabriolet customers can now add a new ‘line package’ to there specification which adds Valcona leather with side sections in black and centre panels in a choice of classic red, silver or cognac colour schemes. Six-cylinder Cabriolet models with standard fit leather upholstery will be upgraded to the colour co-ordinated Valcona leather at a reduced cost.

The leather treatment is combined with door trim inserts colour coded to the seat centre sections, black floor mats with colour coded piping and colour co-ordinated stitching for the leather steering wheel trim, gear knob and gaiter. Brushed matt aluminium facia inlays and Audi exclusive ‘line’ door sill trims are also added.

The line interior upgrade will cost from £1,300 in the A4 Cabriolet, and is also available for A3, A4 Saloon and Avant and A6 Saloon and Avant models.
