The 17-store Westover Group is brandishing its new-found corporate strength in Salisbury by occupying a quarter of the available space at this weekend’s (June 17-18) city motor show at the nearby Wilton estate.

The event is Westover’s first chance to bring together all its Salisbury franchises in one place following the takeover earlier this year of the collapsed Olympian group sites.

"This offers a great opportunity for us to promote the group in the area," says Chris Swain, sales manager at Westover Renault.

Westover’s Fiat, Nissan, Renault and Toyota dealerships will offer a variety of customer incentives and promotions aimed at demonstrating the group’s presence in the Wiltshire city.

Well-known Salisbury dealer Ottons, also part of the Westover Group, will also be in attendance displaying the Land Rover range and offering showgoers the chance to win one of 20 Highland Adventure Weekends at Skibo castle in Dornoch, Sutherland.

Westover’s Renault staff will be wearing F1 Team Spirit clothing and dishing out free tickets for a Donington Park fun day to every visitor to the stand.

The Fiat operation will be showing one of only 200 Stilo Schumacher models and offering savings up to £3,000 on three-door Stilo and three/five-door Punto, together with 0%, four-year finance on all cars.

Over on Westover’s Nissan stand will be the Micra convertible, and savings up to £1,500. It’s a similar story at Toyota with £1,200 off the popular Yaris T3.

The group is self-financing its show presence together with varying levels of contribution from manufacturers it represents.

Westover, which also has franchises for Škoda, Lexus and Jaguar, primarily trades from sites in Dorset and west Hampshire.
