Selected cars, including the Impreza WRX and STI, as well as the Forester 2.5XTn and certain Legacy models, come with £3,000-worth of vouchers.
“The idea came about after we spoke to our dealer council,” says a spokesman at Subaru. “We wanted something hard hitting and the rising fuel prices are something that’s close to all of our hearts.
“The cards, supplied by Arval, can be used at around 10,000 service stations until March 31, 2008.”
The campaign is set to run from July 1 to September 30 and during this time Subaru hopes to sell 2,000 new cars.
The manufacturer is launching a £1m marketing campaign. This will run across the national press, terrestrial and satellite TV and the internet.
Dealer direct marketing and the provision of dealer point-of-sale will also be part of the campaign.
