Situated on a 1.5-acre site, just off the Kingsway West ring road – one of the main arteries into Dundee – the showroom will house eight cars in surroundings sporting Audi’s latest corporate standards. There will be room for up to 65 used cars outside.
“We decided to move to the new site as we outgrew our old one on Old Lochee Road,” says Richard North, operations director for the John Clark Motor Group.
“We were at the old site for five years and over that time our annual sales grew from 200 to 800. The location just wasn’t big enough.”
The site also has 11 workshop bays, 11 paintshop bays, four valeting bays, one spray booth and one MoT bay. There will also be an adaptive cruise control bay and a Quattro rolling road facility. Due to the larger premises, 20 new staff will be hired at Dundee Audi, bringing the total number of workers there to 50.
The new showroom is due to be completed in the autumn.
