Construction has begun in London of the world’s largest Audi dealership, which will span seven storeys and cost more than £30m.

The landmark showroom, which will be on the Great West Road and visible from the M4 motorway, will be Audi’s response to Mercedes-Benz World at Goodwood.

It will have five storeys above ground and two underground levels, providing more than 183,000sq ft of space. Besides its extensive new and used car display areas and service workshop, it will have an Audi museum, internet café and boutique plus conference and meeting rooms.

West London Audi is scheduled to open in spring 2008. It is expected to be operated by Sytner Group.

It will be the third flagship Audi outlet in the UK. Glasgow Audi opened in 2004 and Birmingham Audi is currently under construction, due to open early 2007.
