BSI is urging independent garages to obtain the Kitemark, in a show of strength and commitment to raising standards in automotive vehicle servicing and repair.

PAS 80, the publicly available specification published by BSI, is a tool available to all garages in the independent aftermarket and provides details on what’s required to meet the Kitemark standard.

The 16-page document is divided into a number of key sections and sets out fair trading and best practice that any vehicle service and repair business should be following.
