Inchcape Retail has sold its three Maranello Ferrari and Maserati outlets in the latest stage of consolidation of its UK dealerships.

HR Owen has bought its dealership in St Albans. The business has been rebranded HR Owen Sports Cars.

Jardine Motors Group has taken over the Sevenoaks outlet and rebranded it Lancaster.

Sytner Group bought the remaining dealership in Egham, which may later be rebranded Graypaul.

All the new owners already represented both marques in the UK; Sytner at Nottingham, HR Owen in London and Jardine at Colchester.

AM first reported in June that HR Owen was interested in expanding its links of Ferrari and Maserati.

Chief executive Nick Lancaster said: “This is a good opportunity for HR Owen to expand within the core luxury brand market. The St Albans facilities will allow us to expand our new and used car operations that support these marques.”

The site made £400,000 pre-tax profit in 2006.
