The image was heavily shadowed but with some Photoshop trickery AM has lifted the veil to reveal the new model underneath.
The image below is the first official picture of the Superb ahead of its global debut at the Geneva Motor Show in spring 2008.
The Superb looks very German and a lot more aggressive than its predecessor. If you put your finger over the badge and squint, it almost looks like a BMW. It's clear Skoda is going for the premium market, just like Ford's Mondeo and Vauxhall's forthcoming Vectra.
The Superb is likely to be fitted with a 1.8 TS 160bhp engine, the same engine which has been offered across the Octavia model range since the middle of this year.
