Walon wins Alfa Romeo PDI contract

Walon UK, the automotive logistics specialist, has won a new contract from Alfa Romeo UK for the pre delivery inspection (PDI) of over 7,000 new vehicles per year.

Walon, which is a part of the AutoLogic Group, has worked in partnership with Alfa Romeo UK for over 10 years providing the storage and distribution of their vehicles, which are shipped from Italy to Walon’s Portbury Dock operation.

The new PDI contract means that Alfa Romeo’s vehicles are now fully inspected and valeted at source by Walon’s team, prior to their storage and national distribution to Alfa Romeo’s UK dealer network.

Alfa Romeo has also extended its distribution contract to take advantage of Walon’s direct delivery service to dealers in Northern Ireland. This service uses Walon’s joint venture partners Vehicle Logistics Ireland (VLI).

Walon wins Alfa Romeo PDI contract? Alfa Romeo are denying that WALON was responsible for PDI at over the period mentioned. Anyone out there who can verify claim above?
