Perrys Citroën and Vauxhall is expanding with the addition of a £1m Mazda showroom and PDI centre at its Barugh Green site.

The dealership, which is due to be completed in September, will be the group’s fourth Mazda franchise and Perrys sees it as an essential part of its growing dealer network.

Alan Greenwood, dealer principal, says: “It was a good business opportunity for us with a strong franchise that happened to have an open point.

“The Mazda marque will compliment the Citroën and Vauxhall brands nicely, enabling us to offer our customers a comprehensive range of new and used cars that cater to every taste and budget.”

Though plans for the build are still being finalized, Greenwood says the showroom will hold five new cars with a 25-used-car display outside.

The build will also house five workshop bays, while the MoT bay will be located in the PDI centre. The new dealership is set to employ 20 staff members, including several sales roles.
