Chester-based Approved Car Finance (ACF) has opened its ninth branch in Livingston, Scotland.

ACF claims to sell more than 8,000 cars annually, with up to 1,000 in stock across its network at any one time.

The group specialises in finance packages and vehicles for customers with poor or no credit history.

The majority of ACF’s cars are sourced at auction but Gary Hawkins, managing director, declined to reveal the group’s turnover.

Ben Bennetton will be branch manager at the new dealership, having relocated from Portsmouth.

Earlier this year, ACF told AM it planned to open regional centres in Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Hampshire but these have failed to materialize and Hawkins was unavailable for comment on the matter.

As well as the new Livingston branch, ACF has branches in Kent, Bristol, Dunstable, Isleworth, Leeds, Manchester, Mansfield and Walsall.
