Sales managers for the different franchises operated by Harrogate motor retailer Nidd Vale Group have taken part in a large-scale job swap.

This means that Andrew Thompson, after three years as Vauxhall sales manager in Harrogate, moves to be Mazda sales manager. He has been with the company for 11 years in total.

Dean Eustace, after three years as Vauxhall sales manager in Wetherby, moves to a similar role at Vauxhall in Harrogate.

Steve Daykin becomes Vauxhall sales manager in Wetherby, having been Mazda sales manager for four years.

Karl Eckart, who has been with Nidd Vale for seven years, takes over as sales manager for Seat.

Colin Hainstock, Nidd Vale chairman and chief executive, said the purpose of the job swap was to broaden the sales managers’ experience.

“The whole purpose of this exercise is to expand the skills of our sales managers by giving them hands-on experience of other brands or locations.

"Previously, to get this kind of experience, they would have had to move to a different company or a different part of the country, but we can do this because our Leeds Road showroom is a multi-franchise location," said Hainstock.
