Car dealers, parts suppliers and local parts delivery networks could play a vital role in expanding the search throughout Europe for the missing British four year-old, Madeleine McCann.

The McCann family and close friends hope car manufacturers will help generate fresh urgency throughout their European networks by distributing images of the freely available multi-language posters among their dealerships. Parts suppliers can also play a key role across continental Europe though their parts distribution networks to the independent vehicle repair and retail trades.

Despite media coverage generated from the scene in Portugal and from the UK, many Europeans in neighboring countries remain unaware of the youngster's disappearance and would be unable to identify her on sight.

“We need greater exposure for the poster. Car salesrooms and garage forecourts generate a lot of visitors, while motor factors and jobbers across Europe are making parts deliveries every hour to garages and parts retailers who have direct contact with the general public,” says Gerry McCann, Madeleine's father.

“By passing around posters or publicising the web link details, it could make all the difference to the search to find Madeleine.”
