Mike Dodds, a former main board director at William Jacks, is planning to open a new Jaguar dealership in Watford.

The site will be owned and operated by Dodds and will trade from a location leased from Gilbran, the automotive real estate company.

The dealership, which is scheduled to open on June 18, will create up to 30 new jobs for the local area and the showroom will feature the latest Jaguar ‘retail environment’ and after-sales facilities.

Mike Dodds, director, said: “I’m delighted to be opening this new dealership at such an exciting time for the Jaguar franchise.

“We have seen images of the new XF concept, due next year, and with the new XJ, due now, this all adds up to a very dynamic brand.

“I considered several franchising options for the facility but am extremely pleased to have been awarded Jaguar.”

  • William Jacks was acquired by rival dealer group Sytner at the start of 2006.
