Pendragon severs German arm

Pendragon has sold its five dealerships in Germany to Emil Frey Group.

The Nottingham-based dealer group had represented Jaguar, Land Rover and Aston Martin in the Frankfurt and Munich areas under the trading name of Avalon.

It first entered the German new car market in 1992, and began expanding its operation in 2000.

Emil Frey Group president Klaus Fricke said he expects to grow the businesses with their staff, who transferred with the sale.

Emily Frey Group was founded in 1924 and has businesses in Germany, France, Poland, Czech Republic, Switzerland and Hungary.
