Kia Motors UK sold 56 cars through its BCA hosted auction in July.

Kia said the auctions have seen over 90% of the stock going through sold, with prices holding at between 101 – 103% of Cap Clean Guide.

Additionally the auctions have been made available online, again through BCA, with over 100 dealers logging-on and bidding at each auction.

“We are delighted with the success of this new format. The mixture of our Kia dealers and selected trade dealers has proved very successful, in fact, last month saw residual values for some models increase, including the Picanto, Sedona and Magentis auto models,” said David McCluskey, used car remarketing manager for Kia Motors UK.

McCluskey said Kia was on target to sell over 3,500 used cars this year due to high demand for its Picanto, Sorento and Sportage models.

“As the brand looks to move closer to its target of 100,000 new cars a year, and with the launch of our C-segment car, the C’eed, a robust and sustainable used car proposition is going to be crucial. This month’s figures highlight the strength and potential of our used car offering,” added McCluksey.

The next round of auctions will take place at BCA Measham on August 8 and are open to all Kia dealers or by invitation only.
