Gordon Lamb has appointed Tim Pearson as general manager of its Renault and Nissan business in Chesterfield.

Pearson joined Gordon Lamb three months ago, having previously worked for Speeds as a divisional director and then Pendragon, where he was responsible for nine Volvo sites.

Since joining, Pearson has turned the site from loss to profit in just two months.

Pearson said: “Having worked largely with niche brands, this new role is proving a new and interesting challenge for me. This site sells in excess of 2,500 cars per year and also has one of the largest after sales departments in the region, with a fourteen vehicle bay workshop and an extensive parts operation.

“My initial goal is to streamline our sales processes and set strategic goals to help us cope with Renault and Nissan’s ambitious plans for growth over the next three years which will see a host of new models introduced to the market. This is essentially a customer service business and it is attention to the nuances of detail that help us ensure we provide a rewarding and satisfying experience for our customers, from the initial sale, right through to the end of their ownership of their car.”
