Alfa Romeo has appointed a new fleet team, headed up by national sales manager, Nigel Wright.

He’s joined by Mandi McGregor in the north of the UK and James Watson in the south. A third team member will be appointed before the end of the year.

Wright’s immediate focus will be on major contract hire companies along with large fleet operators of 250 plus passenger vehicles. Wright wants to grow Alfa Romeo fleet sales by 45% on 2006 figures and to triple fleet sales by 2009.

Wright says: “We’re planning to seduce drivers away from the obvious German marques and looking to bring added style to the corporate car parks of Britain.”

Christopher Nicoll, managing director of Alfa Romeo UK, said: “Just as we have addressed issues in the retail market, our offering to the fleet sector is stronger, better looking and more dependable than ever before. Without doubt, this dedicated team will deliver the levels of attention and support befitting the Alfa brand.”
