More than 100 dealer group partners, including all top five AM100 groups, have agreed to list their stock on the new site, which will also contain news, road tests, blogs, forums and links to the Glass’s Guide feed.
Other business partners include Portfolio, Experian, MoneySupermarket.com and Motortrak. Several manufacturers have also shown an interest.
The site, which began testing on August 1 to prepare for its October launch, aims to create a more interactive and multimedia-led experience for users. Sellers will be able to upload videos with their adverts and content will change automatically to suit each visitor’s needs.
“It’ll be a combination of Auto Trader, Google and YouTube – a lifestyle motoring portal,” said co-founder Chris Green. “Our unique selling point is that we’re completely free for dealers, free for private sellers and free forever.
“We have 100,000 used cars online now, we’ll have 200,000 by the end of August. By the end of the year we’ll have more than Auto Trader.
“Within 12 months we’re expecting a million visitors per month.”
