Jack Doran, owner of Citroen dealer Jack Doran Motors in County Meath, Ireland, has been charged with price fixing.

Doran was brought before Drogheda District Court, and was alleged to have entered into an agreement which was aimed at the prevention, restricting and the distortion of competition by fixing the selling price of Citroen cars between June 1999 and May 2002.

Doran’s company is the third Citroen dealer to be brought before the courts as a result of an investigation by the Competition Authority into allegations of price fixing in Ireland.

Doran’s case has been adjourned until March 4 to allow for the preparation of a book of evidence.
