PSA Peugeot Citroën is planning to build a new production plant 110 miles southwest of Moscow.

Construction on the new plant, located in the city of Kaluga, is expected to be completed by 2010. It will produce vehicles in the midsize segment, which represents nearly 60% of all sales in the expanding Russian market.

Russia is one of PSA’s priority growth markets and plans to sell 100,000 Peugeot and Citroen vehicles in Russian in 2010, eventually rising to 300,000 units a year.
