British sportscar maker collapses

Proteus Cars, a midlands-based sports car maker, has gone into administration.

The family-run company made new reproductions of the classic Jaguar C-Type from its base in Nuneaton.

Joint administrators are Duncan Morris and Timothy Heaselgrave from the Redfern Partnership in Warwick.
