Allianz Insurance has teamed up with the British Standards Institution, MVRA and the Retail Motor Industry Federation to run workshops to help its repairers achieve the PAS 125 BSI Kitemark standard.

The one day workshops have been set up in order to help Allianz’s 173 motor repairers achieve the Kitemark before its deadline of July 1, 2009.

The workshops will include presentations from BSI, the MVRA and the RMIF.

Simon Law, motor damage supply manager for Allianz Insurance, said: “In developing these workshops we have tried to focus on one aim, that the repairers will be more confident in achieving the Kitemark.”

The workshops will take place across the UK before the end of this year, with further dates to be announced for 2009.

Confirmed dates for this year are November 28 at Thatcham’s headquarters, December 2 at Mnachester College, December 4 at Gateshead College and December 12 at Akzo Nobel in Abingdon.

Repairers who gain approval will be rewarded through Allianz’s Partner Performance Review matrix, giving them the potential to increase their labour rates by up to £2 an hour.
