Tyre safety campaign hailed as a success

Safety organisation Tyresafe has deemed the National Tyre Safety Month campaign a success, with hundreds of franchised and independent workshops giving support through free tyre checks.

Although data is still being collated, the number of checks completed is expected to be in the thousand.

Aimed at encouraging motorists to make their own tyre pressure and condition checks monthly, the annual campaign provides a chance for workshops to build on existing relationships with customers, and identify opportunities for up-selling.

Vehicle franchises backing the campaign included Ford, Kia, Suzuki and Volkswagen, while HiQ, ATS, National Tyres, ProTyre and Stapletons were also among the independent companies involved.
