Audi will unveil its first diesel TT models at the Geneva Motor Show next week ahead of its UK sales debut on March 6.

Available in both coupe and roadster variants, the diesel TT is powered by the same 2.0 TDI engine as the new A4, but with a power increase from 141 to 168bhp while torque, at 258lb/ft, is greater than the 3.2 V6 petrol.

As a result, the sprint to 62mph is dispatched in less than 8 seconds with a top speed of 140mph (138mph for the roadster) where permitted.

And it’ll keep owners just as happy at the pumps, returning more than 50mpg and emitting 20% less CO2 than the 2.0 FSI.

Prices for the diesel TT start at £26,350, and first deliveries are expected this summer.
