Nidd Vale Group, the Harrogate independent motor retailer, has added a Mitsubishi franchise to its Leeds Road site.

Nidd Vale also represents Mazda, Saab, Seat and Vauxhall at the same site.

Jamie Taylor is the new sales manager for the new franchise, who has been with Nidd Vale since December 2003 and was previously assistant sales manager for Nidd Vale Vauxhall.

His senior sales executive is Dennis Wheatley, who joined Nidd Vale a year ago as a sales executive with the group’s Saab franchise.

Mark Doran, who has been with Nidd Vale for 10 years, becomes the Mitsubishi service technician.

Jack Arkley, Mitsubishi UK's network development manager, said: "We are delighted that Nidd Vale has joined our dealership network. The group is very focused with an innovative approach to retailing and we look forward to a long and rewarding relationship."

Nidd Vale will sell the full range of Mitsubishi cars, including the Shogun 4x4, the L200 pick-up and the new Lancer, which was launched in February.
