Renault Retail Group is establishing 14 van service centres within its network of franchised dealerships this year.

The group, which already has two such facilities at Renault London West and Wednesbury Service Centre near Wolverhampton, wants to target van users by providing a dedicated service counter with specifically trained staff.

It is also implementing Class 7 MoT testing for LCV operators.

Ian Plummer, managing director of Renault Retail Group, said: “The roll out plays a significant role in ensuring that we are on target to meet the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.”

The latest site to undergo a major refurbishment is its Beddington Farm Service Centre in Croydon.

A £400,000 modernisation at the site has equipped it to cater for all vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes.

It has created two new MoT testing roles, and has three Renault master technicians.

The centre also serves independent repairers in the south London area with Renault OE parts and all-makes components under the Renault-owned Motrio brand.

Plummer said the business needs to provide an accessible aftersales service for car drivers and van drivers alike.

“Customer satisfaction scores have been consistently high, and we’re hoping to increase this while carrying out approximately 1,000 MoT tests over the next 12 months.

“Beddington Farm is a focal point for south London van operators and as such we provide a dedicated van service counter with staff who are specially trained in van products.”
