Comline has introduced a new online ordering facility, allowing customers to view real-time cost price and availability data and flick through animated catalogue pages through its website.

The facility combines Autonet and Tecom B2B ordering systems, giving full compatibility with any computer.

Completed orders are then processed and compiled into a picking list at Comline’s warehouse and despatched centrally, removing the need for a telephone-based sales team.

Malcolm Rosher, sales and marketing director at Comline, said: “Motor factors have been quick to take advantage of the benefits of online ordering – it’s a quicker and more cost-effective way of conducting business.

“Removing the manual input of orders eliminates mistakes when copying from the faxed order form and broadband allows for the faster download of informative PDFs.

“This facility also gives Comline the opportunity to effectively expand into new markets without a major customer service investment.”
