A former Nissan garage at Haley Hill, Halifax, will reopen as a Ford dealership in mid-July.

The showroom, previously Dixons Nissan, closed more than a year ago, when the company went into administration, which also meant the close of its Citroen dealership in Halifax.

Dews Motor Group which already has two other dealerships in the area, including a Peugeot garage, will run the Ford site.

Hartwell Ford in Halifax, the town’s previous Ford dealers, closed 18 months ago. The site is expected to be turned into apartments.

Craig Hamer, Dews Motor Group manager, said: “We’re excited to add Ford to our portfolio of Vauxhall and Peugeot, and we look forward to being able to bring our customers even more quality cars.”
