The front end of the new Mito takes styling cues from Alfa's 8C Competizione sports car and the back end looks heavily influenced by Fiat's new Bravo.
Customers will get seven airbags as standard, ABS with EBD, VDC (vehicle dynamic control), ASR, CBC (cornering brake control), DST (dynamic steering torque) and hand brake assist with hill holder.
The Mito will come with a choice of three petrol and two diesel engines at launch, all mated to a six-speed gearbox, apart from the 1.4 TB 120bhp.
Prices start at £10,975 for the entry level 1.4 16V 95bhp Turismo, and rise to £14,975 for the 1.4 TB 155bhp Veloce. Pre-orders will open in October.
