Ford has revamped its parts delivery service to ensure urgent parts can be delivered the same day or by 8am the next morning.

Ford’s central Daventry parts distribution centre is now working to an 8am arrival deadline for urgent overnight parts, having previously worked towards a 10am deadline.

Ford has also launched a new “during the day delivery” (3D) programme which uses 12 regional depots to deliver parts within a few hours, which the manufacturer expects to maximise the number of jobs that can be completed in the same day.

The 12 regional hubs established in partnership with major Ford dealer groups are located in Wakefield, Barking, Tonbridge, Bristol, Alperton, Salisbury, Lisburn, Loughborough, Exeter, Glasgow, Birmingham and Manchester.

3D operators provide dealers in their region with at least two daily parts deliveries – one early in the day and one during the afternoon.

Ford Daventry holds over 120,000 parts lines and delivers approximately 13,000 parts overnight to dealers in the UK each day.
