Toyota drops second Auris shift at Burnaston plant

Toyota is cutting production at its Burnaston assembly plant but has told staff there will be no lay-offs.

Due to declining sales in Europe, the carmaker is cutting Auris production down from two shifts to one, to make 15,000 less vehicles over the next five months.

It will maintain two shifts on the Avensis line.
