Ruville partnership

German parts manufacturer Ruville is taking its first steps into the UK aftermarket, partnering with FPS to sell its timing components across the factor’s 20 branches. The range of 271 parts includes timing chains, tensioners, linings and guides, and is a small selection of the 17,500 items available from Ruville’s central warehouse.

MAM update

MAM Software has released a Software As A Service version of its Autowork package. Autowork Online is accessed through a standard internet browser. The software adds a number of web-based features, including a vehicle registration mark lookup, parts catalogue and access to technical data and repair times.

World rally prize

Grouptyre is offering independent tyre retailers and garages the chance to win an all-expenses paid trip to the Spanish leg of the World Rally Championship in October. Customers ordering Pirelli tyres from the supplier until the end of August will be entered into a prize draw, with the winner selected on September 1. Runner-up prizes include Pirelli-sponsored track days at the Thruxton and Knockhill circuits.

£10m investment

Kwik-Fit has opened a £10 million national distribution centre in Corby, Northants, aimed at providing quicker deliveries and reducing carbon emissions by up to 3,000 tonnes. The complex provides next-day delivery to Kwik-Fit’s 670 centres and 200 mobile fitting units.
