Used car dealership Melbros, based near Spalding in Lincolnshire, could me demolished to make way for 16 affordable homes after approval was granted for the development.

The application was rejected in August because of the high number houses (20) and because it could be detrimental to amenities of nearby house owners.

It has since been revised and would feature more car parking spaces, 100% affordable housing and a more traditional build style with tiled roofs.

A spokesman for Melbros declined to comment on when the dealership would be demolished, reported Spalding Today.
