Subaru dealers have chosen to close its dealer council in favour of a regional roadshow each quarter, deciding it would be more beneficial to the network.

Paul Tunnicliffe, Subaru UK managing director, said: “We used to have a dealer reference group and I have worked with them and without them in the past.

“I think they can be positive and I have an open mind about them, but we asked our dealers if they wanted to continue with the council and 85% didn’t want to.”

Tunnicliffe goes to the roadshow meetings with sales director Sam Burton where both make presentations on how the business currently stands.

He said: “There’s the opportunity for attendees to ask questions and we can speak about problems.”
