MK Kia is moving to its new showroom in Wolverton, Milton Keynes in January 2010 following a £1.5 million investment.

The new site used to be a Renault-owned dealership and will host MK Kia’s business which is moving from London Road to Wolverton.

David Turney, MK Kia managing director, said: “Kia has now outgrown our current premises and it’s great to be moving to the town centre where the manufacturer will be more accessible to residents.

“With the launch of the Soul and the remodelled cee’d, 2009 has been a fantastic year for the brand. Kia has plans to increase its market share next year and I don’t doubt it can do it – with the launch of Venga and the new Sorento, our new, bigger dealership will be well equipped to handle success.”

MK Kia has been a Kia franchise since 2001 and has operated as a car dealer in Milton Keynes for 30 years. The significant investment in the new dealership from both Kia and MK Kia will provide a 12-car showroom, 100 used cars under canopy and a 10-bay workshop.

To ensure a smooth transition of services, MK Kia in Stony Stratford will remain open until the new dealership in Wolverton is fully operational.
