Staff at Jaguar Land Rover are to vote on a pay freeze and shortened working week in exchange for a guarantee of no compulsory job cuts.

The deal, agreed between the carmaker and unions but still to be voted on by workers, aims to save JLR up to £70m per year.

The company employs around 15,000 staff at its sites in Gaydon, Castle Bromwich, Solihull, Coventry and Halewood.
