Hyundai has revealed the first pictures of a new plug-in hybrid concept car which will be revealed at the Seoul Motor Show from April 2.Hyundai Blue Will

The Blue-Will concept is powered by an aluminium petrol injected 1.6-litre engine which is coupled to a 100kw electric motor.

Electric power, stored by a lithium ion polymer battery pack, is bundled with the fuel tank under the rear seat to maximise luggage space. The concept also features solar panels to boost the battery’s range.

Hyundai will put a production ready version of the lithium ion polymer technology into the Elantra LPI hybrid which will go on sale in Korea in July this year.
