Mark Cameron, Mazda UK sales director, will now also take on the brand’s marketing duties in a dual role.Mark Cameron

Cameron, now sales and marketing director, will be no stranger to the role as he was previously marketing director before becoming sales director in October 2008.

Jeremy Thomson, Mazda Motors UK managing director, said: “Over the three years as marketing director, Mark strengthened the perception of the Zoom-Zoom brand with levels of purchase consideration reaching a record high in 2008.

"This was achieved through an innovative mix of marketing communications with a strong emphasis on experiential marketing, sponsorship and digital media.”

Cameron’s main priorities will be “to continue to promote the brand to achieve both higher footfall in dealerships and higher levels of purchase consideration, while ensuring dealers remain profitable and productive to further strengthen Mazda's position in the UK market”.

Thomson said the changes in the UK management structure mirrored the same model as Mazda’s other European departments and would help to realise "operational efficiencies".
