Honda's new chief executive, Takanobu Ito has announced plans to begin sales of the CR-Z sports hybrid model in the UK next year.
Sales start in Japan in February 2010 and an official start date for UK sales of the new hybrid coupe will be released before the end of this year.
The new CR-Z sports hybrid will join Honda’s Civic and Insight hybrid portfolio of models. The Jazz is also scheduled to get a hybrid variant.
Ito succeeds Takeo Fukui as CEO of Honda, having been president of Honda’s R&D operation previously.
The CR-Z concept car made its world debut at the 40th Tokyo Motor Show in 2007.
