You need to start the ball rolling as soon as a customer walks into the dealership.

One of the simplest ways to open the conversation is to introduce yourself and get the customer to introduce himself or herself to you.

"Good morning Sir, I'm John Smith and you are Mr..... ?"

This way you will get a positive response and start the conversation off in a polite and constructive manner.
