Owen Coyle, manager of new Premiership team Burnley FC will be officially opening Phase Two of Motorpoint Burnley on July 10.

Motorpoint said it has invested several million pounds in recent months transforming its site to house over 750 cars and have the facility for over 100 people a day to collect their vehicles.

It will also be home to Auction4Cars, a fee-free online auction website for independent car dealers in the region.

Motorpoint applied last year for planning permission to double the size of its Lancashire dealership.

Since then contractors have been working to overhaul the former five-acre Cloverbrook factory on neighbouring Gannow Lane.

When operational, the buildings will house Motorpoint Burnley’s vehicle preparation facility, including a dozen workshops and valeting bays, together with a storage area for vehicle deliveries.

Over 30 people will be employed alone on this part of the site.

Motorpoint expects to sell upwards of 8,000 vehicles from its site in Burnley this year.
