DMS provider Pinewood has won ISO 27001 accreditation, the international standard for information security techniques and management. Neville Briggs

The accreditation was designed to provide a model for “establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining, and improving an information security management system”.

Gaining the award has meant Pinewood examining all the processes used within the company and by its customers, amending them where needed in order to meet strict requirements.

Neville Briggs, Pinewood managing director, said: “Essentially, the accreditation confirms that information we hold on behalf of our customers has been made secure to a high standard, with no access or usage by any other entity.

“All of our dealer management products are now sold on a software-as-a-service basis, meaning that we hold essential information on our servers rather than our dealer customers storing it on their own machines, so having an extremely robust approach to security is essential.”
