Eric Le Corre has been appointed managing director of Michelin Tyre following the retirement of Jim Rickard. Le Corre, previously executive vice president and chief financial officer of Michelin North America, will be based at its HQ in Stoke-on-Trent.

Auction group Aston Barclay has appointed Tim Hudson as managing director, following the retirement of Les Scarborough.

Hudson joins Aston Barclay after eight years at LeasePlan, recently as managing director of LeasePlan International and previously as operations director and commercial director of LeasePlan UK. Before that he held senior roles at Nissan Finance and Lex Vehicle Leasing.

The British Tyre Manufacturers Association (BTMA) has elected David Smith, of Continental Tyres, as its new chairman. Smith brings with him a wealth of tyre industry
experience as UK managing director of Continental Tyres since 2007.

Bob Dover, the former chairman and CEO of Jaguar, Land Rover and Aston Martin, has joined the advisory board of Axeon, the European supplier of lithium battery systems.

Dover’s past credits include leading the team that transformed Land Rover with the Discovery, as well as heading up the Jaguar XK8, Aston Martin V12 and Vanquish programmes.

Remarketing group Manheim has appointed Simon Warrington as chief technology officer to review the technology strategy across its European business.
