Tustain Motors has celebrated the sale of its 1,000th car since the business began trading in March.

The group, chaired by former Bristol Street boss John Tustain, invited local MP Ian Lavery in to help mark the occasion.

Tustain Motors has dealerships in Ashington, Alnwick and Berwick upon Tweed.

Brian Baxter, managing director, (pictured left with Ian Lavery MP) said:“Despite a really challenging market, we are delighted with the results so far and we put our success down to the hard work and dedication of the entire Tustain team.

“Since the doors opened in March, we have made substantial investments across the business.

"These include integrating a new computer system, carrying out a full refurbishment programme and increasing the workforce by around 10%.

"It’s great to see the hard work paying off and our vision for a customer centred business being realised. Our customer satisfaction ratings are rising month on month which indicates local people are valuing our approach.

“Existing customers and new visitors to the dealerships have been motivated to buy cars because of our very competitive prices and full range of added value incentives to get them on the road. With the imminent launch of our website we will take that competitive offer to a much wider market."
