A year after Renault UK refocused its van operation it has brought 24 dealerships on board.

The manufacturer says it is on track to expand that to 29 outlets in its Pro+ light commercial vehicle network by the end of 2011.

The French brand is ranked seventh in the UK’s LCV market and has grown sales volumes by almost 70% this year to take a 7.25% market share.

Darren Payne, director of fleet and commercial vehicle operations, said: “The success of Renault Pro+ is down to our understanding of business customer needs. We know that they are under pressure to keep up productivity and therefore demand a specific level of service.”

Every Renault Pro+ dealership is required to provide specialist business sales and aftersales advisers, demonstrators and displays of the entire van range, including conversions, suitable courtesy vehicles and to offer extended opening hours to ensure that business customers’ vans and cars are off the road for as little time as possible.

The first Renault Pro+ opened in December 2009 at Renault London West in Acton.
