Wayside Group has acquired single site business Milton Keynes Seat for an undisclosed sum.

The deal was put together with the help of ASE’s Dealermatch service.

This is Wayside’s second acquisition in recent months following its acquisition of Keith Garages in Aylesbury at the start of November, indicating the group’s appetite to expand and create a string regional group.

David Kendrick, transaction manager at ASE, said: "Yet again we see another group purchasing a single site dealership as the sector consolidation continues. It certainly appears that this trend will continue as the year closes and 2011 begins."

The MK Seat dealership made local news in April this year after Cliff Freeman, director of the dealership complained of lost productivity at the showroom due to problems with a nearby sewage plant.

Staff at the dealership complained about feeling sick and even refused to come into the office due to the smell.
