The Škoda Superb range now has the new 2.0 TDI CR 140bhp DPF engine under its bonnet.

This latest common-rail diesel engine improves combined fuel consumption by 4.4mpg – up to 52.3mpg - while CO2 emissions have been reduced by 12g/km to 143g/km.

The standard diesel particulate filter (DPF) ensures compliance with the EU5 regulations.

It joins the existing 1.9 TDI PD 105bhp and 2.0 TDI CR 170bhp DPF diesel engines in the range.

The new engine will be available in the Superb, which starts at £18,205, from February 18 with a choice of six-speed manual or twin-clutch DSG transmissions, in hatchback or estate bodystyles and in the S, SE or Elegance trim.
