Honda dealers to sell Mugen parts

Eight Honda dealers have launched the Mugen Original Parts Programme, to supply Honda owners with a range of tuning parts, accessories and merchandise from the company's engine tuning partner.

The programme launches with special authorised Mugen parts for the current FN2 Civic Type R, including forged aluminium wheels, performance brake pads, quick shift kits and sports suspension.

The range also includes body styling kits for the Civic.

The dealers involved in the programme are:

  • Avonvale Honda (Midlands)
  • Bristol Honda (South West)
  • Inchcape Honda (South East)
  • Brayley Honda (Home Counties)
  • Two Mills Honda (North West)
  • Phoenix Honda (Scotland & Borders)
  • Ewens of Cornhill (Highlands)
  • Donnelly & Taggart (Northern Ireland)

Paul Brayley, managing director, Brayley Honda, said: "Recognising the market for customers to be able to personalise their car, Brayley Honda was keen to become a Mugen appointed dealer, affording our customers with access to a performance brand that is well known amongst enthusiasts. We hope that it will also appeal to a broader audience in time.”

Colin Whittamore, from Mugen Euro, added: “We are delighted to be teaming up with some knowledgeable and enthusiastic Honda dealers who will bring Mugen products to a wider audience.

"Although Mugen has been in Japan for over 35 years, we are a relatively new company to the UK market, and outside of motorsport and serious tuning enthusiasts, we may not yet be a household name.

Through this programme we are looking forward to attracting new and existing customers to experience why Mugen has been renowned for many years as a world leader in motorsport.”

Parts requiring fitment by Honda dealers are covered by a 12-month/ 10,000 mile warranty, and other accessories are covered by a standard manufacturing defects warranty.

Original Mugen parts for other Honda models will be introduced over the next 12 months.
