The RMI and BSI are joining forces to promote bodyshops who have been awarded the Kitemark accreditation.

“It’s such a great achievement to gain a Kitemark, and a clear indicator to the public that they can expect high quality and safe repairs," said Graham Threlfall, head of RMI bodyshop.

"Combined with the RMI membership it is a signal to customers that they’re using a reputable bodyshop”.

Claire Lynam, head of communications and Alliances at BSI EMEA, added: “The Kitemark is only awarded to bodyshops that meet the most stringent of criteria, it is recognised by 82%, trusted by 88% of the UK adult population so obtaining a Kitemark license for vehicle body repair will have a positive impact on the future of their business."

Once in receipt of the Kitemark, an RMI bodyshop member will be featured in the local press to publicise the business, allowing consumers to see easily and quickly where their nearest approved bodyshop is.

Threlfall said: “It’s really important to us that bodyshops get the recognition they deserve for their hard work, this is a great way to ensure the consumer is reminded of the significance of the BSI Kitemark and the RMI.”
